Sunland Group (SDG) specialises in property development and construction, with operations in the Gold Coast, northern NSW, Victoria, Brisbane, Sydney and Dubai. Other business operations of the Company incorporate the provision of project services, funds management, and hotel development. Sunland Group listed on the Australian stock Exchange on February 28, 1995. The Company is organised into four business segments which are Australian and International property development, hotel investments and operations, project services and funds management. The key focus of the Company is on Multi-storey development. Sunland is the developer of the world’s largest residential tower on the Gold Coast. The Company is the owner and operator of the Versace Hotel on the Gold Coast. The construction of its second residential tower on St Kilda Road in Melbourne, Balencea, is well underway. The tower will have 23-storeyes tower, with 84 luxury residences. The Company launched a boutique luxury development on Sydney Harbour, the Louisa Road Residences having six residences. Sunland commenced its Dubai development, Nur on 10 June, 2008. During fiscal 2008, Sunland sold its 50% interest in Dubai Waterfront 1 project to Peacock Ventures Limited. The Company is engaged in the development of high quality residential and hotel properties with a focus on high-end customers.
Sunland Group History
Sunland Group was established in 1983 by Foad Fathi and Soheil Abedian, with a vision to construct homes in selected suburbs on Queensland's Gold Coast. In the early 1990s, the Company expanded its operations to include land subdivision and high-rise developments. Sunland Group became floated on the Australian Stock Exchange in 1995. SDG had around 4,790 units under development as at June 2008.
