Spotless Group (SPT) caters an extensive range of services and products to business, industry, healthcare, education, resources, and government-based customers across Australia and New Zealand. It also provides services to garment-based retailers and manufacturers around the world. Spotless Group listed on the ASX on 1 January, 1974. To date the Company has circa 30,000 staff employed throughout the world. The Company provides cleaning services to a broad range of sectors also comprising hospitals, schools and airports. The company focuses its development through various segments. Food services is engaged in the provision of food services to diversified customer base which include sport stadiums, function centers, airports and business and education institutions. Laundries services include wash and supply workwear for large store chains, food manufacturing and general industry customers. Managed services segment focuses on the facilities management and asset maintenance activities. It also focuses on customer interface by offering various services that assist customers in performing their core business operations. Braiform (retailer services) division is engaged in the supply and management of garment hanger and apparel packaging products to the customers worldwide.

The Company is experiencing both organic and strategic growth, with its business operations focused on providing specialist support services to organisations around the globe. The Company’s customer base also includes some of the world’s leading corporations that utlise SPT’s expertise and offerings for the management and delivery of just about any service. Through a combination of its innovative ideas and talented pool of people, the Company is focused on providing leading edge solutions to its clients.

Spotless Group History

The Company commenced its operations in Melbourne in 1946, with a single dry cleaning store. It was integrated in Victoria in 1957. The Company adopted its present name in 1983. During the 1960s and 1970s, the company diversified its operations portfolio to add industrial dry cleaning and laundering through the acquisition of Ensign Holdings and other laundries. During the 1980s, the Company also included food services in its operations. In March 2001, it completed the acquisition of Braitrim, a UK based business. The Company also acquired the operations of the grounds maintenance business of Excell Corporation in 2002.
