RuralAus Investments (RUR) is a boutique forestry manager. It operates eucalypt and pine plantations at Bremer Bay and Kangaroo Island. The key assets of the company comprise freehold land, loan agreements, lease and management agreements, and harvest agreements.

The company was incorporated in Western Australia in January 2000 and listed on the ASX in July 2002 as Australian Growth Limited. In July 2003, previous directors placed the company into voluntary administration due to lack of availability of funding for the 2003/2004 plantings. Australian Growth Limited's shares were suspended from quotation on the Australian stock market (ASX) in June 2003. The company was restructured in early 2005.

RuralAus differs from other plantation timber companies in that it targets a boutique investment niche. RUR offers tailored investments for large investors and allows retail investors access to its forestry assets through its woodlots. The company presently has two income-producing assets, a loan book earning the RUR's interest and the land on which RUR is receiving income in the form of lease and management fees.

RuralAus Investments offers its management and harvesting services to the growers/investors who participate in its schemes. The harvested timber products are sold to various mills and wood chipping plants. RUR competes with other plantation managers and growers, including Australian Plantations and Timbercorp.

The Company’s subsidiaries include APR Unit Trust, RuralAus Plantation Management Pty Ltd, Australian Growth Finance Limited and Australian Growth Landholdings Limited.
