Range Resources (RRS) is a mineral exploration Company primarily searching for natural resources in the oil, gas and mineral sectors in Puntland, Somalia; the Republic of Georgia and onshore Texas, USA. The Company is dual listed and it is trading on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) as ticker code “RRS” and on AIM London Stock Exchange as ticker code “RRL”. It listed on the ASX on January 24, 1985.

Range holds a 100% interest in the rights to all mineral and hydrocarbon exploration and development in Puntland, Somalia which has an area of around 100,000 km2. Puntland has been under-explored and it is prospective for containing huge reserves of hydrocarbons. RRS owns a 20% working interest in two Production Sharing Agreements (PSAs) for the Nogal and Dharoor Blocks in Puntland, Somalia. These conscessions comprise two highly potential hydrocarbon basins with a combined area of 81,000sq.km. Range signed a Heads of Agreement with a private UK-based company Strait Oil and Gas Ltd in July 2009 to obtain a 50% interest in two oil and gas blocks in the Republic of Georgia. In September 2009, the Company obtained a 25% interest in the North Chapman Ranch project in Nueces County, Texas. The Project is operated by a US-based private oil and gas company - Crest Resources Inc. and it covers an area of around 1,280 acres.

Range’s planned onshore drilling program in Puntland, and its strategy of developing a joint exploration with the Puntland Government for offshore Puntland as well as the Georgia and Texas farm-in provide it with a significant opportunity to become a diversified global exploration Company.
