Ramsay Health Care (RHC) is a large and established private hospitals operator, with operations mainly held in Australia, Indonesia and the United Kingdom. Ramsay Health Care is engaged in the provision of diversified health care services, ranging from day surgery procedures to highly complex surgery, in addition to psychiatric care and rehabilitation. RHC operates more than 100 hospitals. It has more than 8,000 beds, with over 25,000 people employed across three countries. Ramsay Health Care listed on the Australian Stock Exchange on 24th September, 1997. On November 23, 2007 RHC acquired the Capio Group, with its portfolio of around 30 hospitals, day surgery facilities and two neuro rehabilitation homes. On August 31, 2007, Ramsay Health Care Limited disposed of the operations of Manningham Day Procedures Centre. On April 30, 2008, it closed the operations of Macathur Private Hospital. It closed the operations of the Harley St business in June 2008.

Ramsay Health Care History

Founded in 1964, RHC has developed a large portfolio of hospitals through acquirement and management of operations. The Company's key acquisitions of the past were Alpha Healthcare, Benchmark and Affinity. RHC acquired Capio Group on 23 November 2007. RCH has over 7,000 beds in Australia, 850 beds in the UK and a small number of beds in different Indonesian hospitals.
