Quantum Resources (QUR) is an exploration and mining company, looking for minerals that fit within the company's preferred minerals and geographical locations. They have five ongoing projects within the Northern Territory and Western Australia. The company was listed on Australian Stockmarket (ASX) on 11 June, 1987.

QUR has 5 ongoing projects and these are: Tanami Gold, Whiteheads (JV between Quantum and Gutnick Resources NL), St Ives (mineral field presently operating as a 400,000 ounces per annum gold operation), Telfer (has applied for a single exploration licence covering 60 square kilometres located six kilometres to the northeast of the multi-million ounce Telfer gold mine) and Jackson.

Quantum Resources' major customers would include the retail, wholesale and international markets. Its competitors consist of other mining companies such as Jabiru Metals (JBL). The mining industry is a global industry, which is highly competitive.

Quantum Resources holds 100% interest in tenements in the Gardner Range, 150 kilometers southeast of Hall’s Creek with potential for base metals, uranium and gold. The Ware Range tenement, in which the Company has 100% interest, has potential for base metals, uranium and gold. The Company’s Whiteheads project is located 50 kilometres northeast of Kalgoorlie within the metamorphosed rocks of the Gindalbie Greenstone Belt. The Company’s Kalgoorlie North Project is the subject of a joint venture, with Jackson Gold acting as managers, earning an 80% interest.

The Ware Range project tenement has been granted. The proposed exploration activities are intended to investigate the nature of base metal mineralisation associated with the unconformity between the Killi Killi Beds and the Mid-Proterozoic Gardiner Sandstone. The Gardner Sandstone in the Birrindudu Group is folded into a large anticlinal structure with its eastern limb forming the Northern Ware Range and its western limb forming the Birrindudu Range. The Tanami Complex lies between them.

A Mine Management Plan covering the proposed exploration activities has been approved by the Department of Primary Industries, Fisheries and Mines in the Northern Territory. This programme will include a programme of loam sampling of targets over the defined region, stream sediment sampling of the sparce drainage in the region and drilling to define the nature of targets.
