Phylogica (PYC) is a biopharmaceutical company engaged in the discovery and development of novel biopharmaceuticals directed at proteins and their interactions. Company was listed on Australian stockmarket (ASX) on 30 March, 2005.

The company was founded and incorporated in 2001 to commercialise proprietary drug discovery technologies developed over six years of collaboration between the Telethon Institute for Child Health Research in Western Australia and the Fox Chase Cancer Centre in Philadelphia, USA. Its drug technologies are protected by a portfolio of eight patent families covering the construction and applications of the Phylomer libraries. The company also has an international trademark portfolio.

PYC's technology is based on its collection of peptides called Phylomers®, into Phylomer® Libraries. These peptides are potential drugs, which can target and disrupt the interactions of proteins that cause a variety of diseases. Advantages over antibodies include no antibody royalty stack, manufacturing advantage (can be synthesized) and compatiability with alternative delivery technologies.

Since the company concentrates on R&D the company at this stage has minimal customers. Major competitors are other local and international companies involved in researching and developing protein-based therapies for disease such as Proteome Systems Ltd (PXL).
