Orocobre (ORE) is a mineral explorer and producer with its activities centered on the development of lithium, potash and boron resources in Argentina. ORE’s project portfolio comprises Salar de Olaroz Project, Santo Domingo Project and South American Salars Project. Orocobre listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) on 4rth December, 2007.

The Salar de Olaroz (“Olaroz”) resource is the flagship lithium-potash project of the Company comprising 118 square kilometers of tenements over a salar (salt lake). The Project is situated in the Puna region of Jujuy, about 230 kilometers northwest of the capital city of Jujuy. As indicated by the inferred resources the Salar de Olaroz brine has capacity to produce over a long mine life, 15,000 tonnes per year of lithium carbonate along with having the expansion potential. ORE is targeting co-production of about 35,000 tons of Potash from Salar de Olaroz brine in addition to evaluating the potential for boric acid production. ORE’s activities are currently focused at its Salar Project and it expects to complete its bankable feasibility study by the mid of 2010.

Orocobre’s Santo Domingo Project is situated in the San Juan Province and contains gold-copper-molybdenum resources. Its South American Salars Project is prospective of Potash, Borate, Lithium and Sodium Salts and consists of around 60,000 hectares of tenements on 10 salars in the provinces of Salta, Jujuy and Catamarca with many of these salars being exploited previously for borates and sodium sulphate. During fiscal 2009, ORE completed the drilling of 16 vertical cored holes (1136 meters) and six monitoring holes (360 meters).
