OM Holdings (OMH) is an independent, globally diversified minerals group principally focused on creating a fully integrated manganese business. The Company through its subsidiaries is engaged in the sales and processing of ferroboron, ferroalloy and ores; trading of manganese ores and alloys; investment holding and exploration and appraisal activities. OM Holdings listed on the ASX on 12 March, 1998.
OMH focuses its development activities through three business segments: operation of Bootu Creek mine, the production of manganese ferro alloys and the trading of manganese ore and alloys. OM Holdings is the sole owner of the entire Bootu Creek Project (manganese mine), situated 110km north of Tennant Creek in the Northern Territory of Australia. OM (Manganese) Ltd ("OMM") which is the 100% owned subsidiary of OMH is responsible for undertaking mining operations at Bootu Creek mine. Bootu Creek’s targeted annual production of manganese ore is 550,000 to 600,000 tonnes.
The Company produces manganese ferro alloys at its Qinzhou smelter situated in the south west China. This site offers excellent transport logistics and low cost operations for the processing and distribution of manganese from Bootu Creek mine in addition to other trading activities. OMH operates a successful manganese ore and alloy trading business. OMH via its Singapore based commodity trading activities has become a major supplier of manganese in China. OMH exports alloys to steel mills in South Korea and Japan. The Company has a significant shareholding in Territory Iron Limited, with a 12.5% strategic interest.
OMH’s growth is underpinned by its highly skilled management team and it aims to acquire a leading position in the specialised metal materials market.
