Woodside Petroleum unleashes its' 10 Year Growth Expansion Plan: There's an interesting article in the AFR today about the growth expansion plans that Woodside Petroleum has (WPL) - the aggressive goal is to generate up to half the company's revenue overseas within 10 years by seeking new oil and gas reserves in the United States and Africa.

"We look at half of our business or more being in Australia. I'd love to see 20 to 25 per cent of the company coming in from the US, and 25 to 30 per cent from . . . riskier places from around the world," Voelte, the CEO of Woodside, told The Australian Financial Review.

And keep this in mind that since Voelte took charge, Woodside's share price has jumped from about $16 to a record $41.10 a share, on Friday, making it Australia's ninth-largest company in terms of market capitalisation.

Woodside (WPL) is certainly a stock to watch in the coming day - since the article was published this morning - and a stock to watch in the coming decade...
