FacebookNational Hire Group (NHR) operates in the equipment hire industry and offers temporary portable building hire services. Its core business activities include the hire of general equipment, access equipment, temporary site accommodation; manufacture, assembly and supply of mobile lighting, power generation and dewatering equipment, and distribution of Perkins engines, FG Wilson power generation sets and parts. The Company is providing theses service through the Cat Rental Store branches in New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory, Western Australia and National Hire branches in other states. National Hire listed on the ASX on June 5th, 1997. In December 2004 The Company underwent a merger and acquired Allight Holdings Pty Ltd and the assets of WesTrac's The Cat Rental Stores® in WA. National Hire then became one of the major players in Australian hire industry and a leading manufacturer and distributor of Allight® de-watering equipment and FG Wilson power generation and Perkins engines. In January 2008 Coates Group Holdings Pty Ltd, a company created by The Carlyle Group and National Hire Group completed the acquisition of the Coates Hire Limited. Later on NHR merged its rental service business with those of Coates, making it the world’s 6th largest hire firm. National Hire holds 47% interest in the Coates Group. National Hire continues to own the Allight business, which operates through the Allight, FG Wilson, HJ Godwin and Perkins brands.
National Hire Group History
National Hire Group was created in 1988. It made its listing on the ASX on 5 June 1997. Following a merger in 2004, NHR took over the assets of Allight Holdings Pty Ltd and WesTrac's The Cat Rental Stores in WA.
