Metroland Australia (MTD) is involved in property development and investment, project management and financial services. Net shareholder funds have doubled to A$8M since listing on the ASX at the end of 1997, and gross assets have tripled to A$21M since 1998.

Since 1997, MTD has been building iconic residences in known locations – Naremburn, Pyrmont and Sydney CBD. The company's latest project is Greenway Supacenta in Wetherill Park. The company differentiates itself via building on already solid foundation of assets, adapting to demographic and leading industry changes and forming enduring relationships.

Historically as a residential developer, MTD's customers comprise property investors and first home buyers in the inner city fringe. As MTD expands into retail and commercial development, its customer base is expanding to those who patronise these industry sectors. There are many developers and builders that compete in MTD's market space. It is a very competitive industry, comprising both small developers and major ASX-listed companies such as Mirvac.
