Stock Exchange / Sharemarket

Lincoln Minerals (LML) is an exploration company with a portfolio of uranium, base metal (lead-zinc-copper-nickel-silver), gold, iron ore and iron oxide copper-gold-uranium (IOCGU) exploration projects in the Gawler Craton area, South Australia. The company listed on the Australian stockmarket on (ASX) on 9 March, 2007

In Indonesia, Lincoln Minerals is jointly developing a small but high grade iron ore mine with target production in excess of 250,000 tpa at 63-68 percent Fe.The Company has secure land positions, with projects close to established infrastructure, including rail and heavy haulage road networks, shipping ports, electricity networks and water services.

Gum Flat - Iron Ore Project

The Gum Flat project area is prospective for a large range of polymetallic minerals including Middleback Range iron ore (both hematite and magnetite), Menninnie Dam style Pb-Zn-Ag (Cu-Au) mineralisation and uranium.

Company drilling for iron ore has identified massive and banded hematite iron formation (BIF) with up to 56.6% Fe overlying broad intervals of magnetite BIF.

Extending up to 20km west from Port Lincoln and with two railway lines (one now disused) and a major highway running through the area, EL3422 is ideally located with respect to infrastructure and proximity to a major shipping port.

The aggregate length of interpreted BIF in EL3422 based on aeromagnetic data is ca. 30km. This represents a significant target for iron ore exploration and associated minerals such as base metals, gold and uranium. Based on the highest amplitude aeromagnetic anomalies the conceptual iron ore exploration target is at least 250 Mt comprising a hematite-rich cap overlying high grade magnetite BIF. Several hematite targets have been identified.

Cockabidnie - Campoona Nickel Discovery

Lincoln Minerals has discovered lateritic nickel mineralisation in the Campoona Syncline within the Company’s Cockabidnie Project.

Mineralisation up to 0.7% Ni + 0.05% Co occurs at a depth of about 15-20m beneath shallow cover and overlies gabbroic amphibolite with up to 0.1% Ni in fresh bedrock. The aeromagnetic and calcrete anomalies associated with mineralisation extend over a strike length of 5km.

The Cockabidnie area has been the focus of base metal, gold and uranium exploration sporadically since the late 1960’s. It has potential for unconformity uranium mineralisation associated with the base of the Mesoproterozoic Blue Range Beds base metal, gold and iron ore mineralisation associated with the BIF-marble-calcsilicate sequence extending south and southwest from the Stanley Mine and nickel-cobalt mineralisation associated with mafic volcanics or intrusives in the BIF sequence.

Previous exploration centred on the Campoona Syncline where there are high background base metal geochemcial (up to 1% Zn and 0.9% Pb in outcrop samples) and Sirotem anomalies associated with BIFs. Previous drilling 5km ENE of Cockabidnie Corner intersected intervals up to 5m @ 1.14% Zn and 0.11% Pb while more recent drilling by Lincoln Minerals intersected 18m @ 0.8% Zn+Pb and 2.17g/t Ag including 2m @ 2.4% Zn+Pb and 3.34g/t Ag.
