Industrea (IDL) is a group of companies engaged in the provision of mining products and services. The Company derives its revenue from diverse operations including construction, asset management and engineering services. Industrea listed on the Australian Stock Exchange on June 7, 1999. Its head office is located in Queensland, Australia.
The Company supplies its products and services to customers in Australia, the United States, South America, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and China which include Xstrata, BHP, Anglo Coal, Rio Tinto, Boeing and the Chinese mining clients, Jincheng Mining Group, Shanxi Coal and The Shenhua Group. The mining products and services currently offered by Industrea consist of equipment hire, integrated contract mining services, open-cut collision avoidance systems, underground and aboveground directional drilling, contractor management, mobile asset tracking and driver safety performance index.
Industrea is focused on expanding its products and services range in order to meet the requirements of its customers. IDL also distributes mining products on behalf of Sandvik Voist Alpine (Scandinavia) and Tagor (Poland). Industrea is the Queensland and Northern Territory integration partner for National Instruments based in United States. In February 2008, the Company completed the acquisition of an integrated mining services contractor, the Huddy’s Plant Hire. Industrea is committed to growth both organically and through acquisition of other related businesses.
Industrea History
IDL formerly known as GPS Online Limited was created in 1987. In 1998, GPS Online achieved Government Innovation Award for GPS-based defence and environmental applications. The Company floated on the ASX in 1999. In 2000, it took over the businesses of Custom Call Communications Pty Ltd. and Antron Communications Pty Ltd. In 2001 it completed the purchase of Microelectronic Technologies Pty Ltd (MeT). The company was renamed to Industrea Limited on 29 September 2006.
