Hudson Resources (HRS) is involved in mining, processing and the marketing of attapulgite. The company owns a processing plant in Geraldton, Western Australia. Hudson Resources also has an investment in Hudson MPA Sdn Bhd, a Malaysian joint venture company, which has commenced producing a range of Attapulgite products at its Lumut plant. Hudson Resources was first registered in May 1969 as Mallina Holdings Ltd. Mallina was first listed on the ASX in November 1969, and later in 1997 Mallina changed its name to Hudson Resources Limited.

Key assets of Hudson Resources Limited include Tiaro Coal Field (farm-in interest and option); Vasse Coal Field (royalties); Attapulgite-Lake Nerramyne (mining leases); Diatomite-principally Dongara and Badgingarra (100% mining leases), and a 22.5% investment in Hudson MPA Sdn Bhd (palm oil filtration in Malaysia).

HRS has the largest known commercial deposit of Attapulgite, located in Western Australia. Also, the company has diversified its investment by holding a 19% stake in International Concert Attractions Limited, one of Australia's leading arts and entertainment producing organisations.

Major customers include both retail and industrial customers in the pharmaceutical, agricultural and horticultural sectors. Its key markets are New Zealand and Australia. HRS competes with other processors of attapulgite.
