Hastings Diversified Utilities Fund (HDF) is a diversified utility fund, with a market capitalisation of $488,122,836. The Fund invests in a portfolio of gas transmission and water utilities infrastructures assets across Australia and worldwide. The fund listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) on 13th of December, 2004. HDF focuses its development activities through three business segments: Gas pipeline owner and operator, Water utility owner and operator and Other. Gas pipeline owner and operator has investments in three natural gas transmission pipelines through its wholly owned Company, the Epic Energy Holdings Pty Ltd (EEH) and its subsidiaries in Australia. Water utility owner has investment in 50% the recently merged entity, South East Water, which is a UK based water utility operator. Other focuses on the Group’s financing activities in accordance with the potential investments. The Company manages its investment operations from Australia. The Company owns unlisted securities that source revenue from the United Kingdom. Hastings Funds Management is the manger of Hastings Diversified Utilities Fund, and it is wholly owned by Westpac. The Company prefers to invest in those utility infrastructure assets that offer a steady income stream and opportunities for long term capital growth.
