Babcock & Brown Infrastructure Group (BBI), a company that focuses in the business of acquisition, management and operation of quality infrastructure assets in Australia and in the international arena was the worst performer in the Australian Stock Exchange for the week that lost 20.8 percent to its stock price closing the week at 4 cents. The company closed at 5 cents in the previous week. The market capitalisation of Babcock & Brown was $108.9 million.

Consolidated Media Holdings (CMJ), a company that focuses in the gaming, entertaining, television broadcasting, magazine publishing and distributing, subscription television, investment in internet and other sectors was the worst performer in the ASX100 list that lost 9.8 percent or 33 cents to its stock price closing the week at $3.02.

Elders (ELD), the Australia based company that survived a collapse just a week back by refinancing its debt through raising $400 million through the institutional investors is planning to return to the rural service market, the chief executive of the company Malcolm Jackman stated yesterday. Mr. Jackman also added that the business is going to see better days this financial year with considerable growth prospects.

Transfield Services (TSE), a company that offers services in sectors like maintenance, operations, assets and project management sector was the best performer in ASX100 index for this week adding 26.1 percent or 58 cents in its stock price and was closed at $2.80.

Elders (ELD), a rural and regional company of Australia that provides financial services and farm inputs for the farmers of Australia and New Zealand was the worst performer for the ASX100 index in the 21st week of 2009 with a loss of 29.1 percent or 12 cents in its stock price closing the week at 28 cents. It was a mixture of Real Estate, Mining and Utility companies in the ASX100 and ASX200 list of worst performers: Elders (ELD), Goodman Group (GMG), Boart Longyear (BLY), Babcock & Brown Infrastructure Group (BBI).
