Dromana Estate Vineyards was started in 1982. In early 2001 Dromana Estate listed on the Australian Stock Exchange. After this listing, they acquired David Traeger Wines, another premium wine company. In January 2005 Dromana Estate Limited listed on the London Stock Exchange - Alternative Investment Market (AIM)

Dromana Estate was instrumental in forging the Mornington Peninsula’s reputation as one of Australia’s leading wine regions. Wines such as the Dromana Estate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay were among the first to highlight the region's inherent suitability to cool climate viticulture.

Winemaker, Duncan Buchanan produces Dromana Estate's range of classic French and popular Italian varietals which have continued to rise in status to become known as some of the country's finest. Dromana Estate's differentiating factor are its prestigious, award winning wines and wine brands. In addition, Dromana's main competitors include other wine producing corporations of the Mornington Peninsula and other wine producing regions of Australia.
