Central Asia Resources Limited (CVR) is a gold and base metals exploration company transitioning to producer. The company has acquired an indirect interest in gold exploration projects in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The CVR Projects have both Russian and historical unclassified resource estimates. Central Asia's has subsequently developed JORC compliant resource statements for most of the prospects within the portfolio.

The company has sustained an intensive drilling campaign across many sites throughout 2008 and the 2009 drilling campaign will focus on developing two sites of most interest and potential. The 2009-2010 strategic plan involves the investigations into developing a low capex, quick to production opportunity and concurrently investigating a larger project to produce a BFS for funding in late 2010. The Company will also pursue other opportunities in Kazakhstan and other parts of central Asia through acquisition or joint venture arrangement to enhance shareholder value.

Central Asia Resources Limited (CVR) has four diamond drill rigs in operation and completed 15,000m of drilling. The Company also commenced an in-house laboratory facility to provide gold assay results. Its properties include Altyntas, Kengir, Kepken and Dalabai prospects. In the Altyntas prospect, the Company focuses on near surface mineralization using simple open pit methods. Kepken holds two mineralized domains, the top 30m from surface being a weathered zone of dispersed lower grade material and underlying the oxide layer are primary sulphide ores of higher grade. The Kengir deposit is hosted in a gabbro-diorite body, which intruded Upper Ordovician metasediments. Dalabai is a gold prospect mined via several small open pits with heap leach processing on site. Its subsidiaries include Onzhas LLP and Golden Eagle.
