Authorised Investment Fund (AIY) provides equity capital to small and medium-sized companies. AIY provides funds to the companies to assist them with the development and expansion of their business. The company listed on the Australian stock market (ASX) on 19 March 1999 as Wine Investment Fund Limited (WIF). It adopted its current name of Authorised Investment Fund Limited (AIY) in March 2004.

The Company’s subsidiaries include Wine Development Pty Ltd, Yarra Valley Corporation Pty Ltd, Skypac International Pty Ltd and SST Equities Pty Ltd. On July 16, 2009, the Company acquired additional shares in Dromana Estate Limited.

After initially concentrating on the wine industry, AIY has broadened its investment focus into several other industry sectors such as telecommunications and technology. Its major customers are small and medium-sized businesses that require an injection of capital. It competes with other PDFs such as BTC and MWM.
