Researching for Australian internet companies to invest or trade shares? Or internet companies listed on the Australian sharemarket? Well here’s a list of the internet companies found on the Australian stockmarket. The ASX have a variety of businesses listed on their exchange which represent the internet industry. The internet sector contains companies which provide internet services to the public. Many companies have an internet presence and even operate ecommerce versions of their retail operations. However the companies below are mostly based online or provide internet services.

  • Wotif.com (WTF) is an online travel agency providing online accommodation booking services to in excess of 45 countries worldwide with a primary focus on Australia and New Zealand.
  • Adultshop.Com (ASC) - is a retailer of adult products on the internet.
  • Fairfax Media Limited (FXJ) is one of Australia's largest diversified media companies. The group's operations include an online publishing division.   • News Corporation or NewsCorp (NWS) is a diversified international media and entertainment company. News Corporation owns internet websites such as MySpace.com, Photobucket, Foxsports.com, Hulu, IGN Entertainment, Rotten Tomatoes, Carsguide.com.au, TrueLocal.com.au, News.com.au, CareerOne.com.au, RealEstate.com.au and many others.
  • Webjet (WEB) is an internet based flight and travel booking service.
  • Seek.com (SEK) is a leading media company principally focused on online employment classified advertising, with operations in Australia and New Zealand.
  • iiNET (IIN) iiNet (IIN) is a leading internet services provider.
