Aurora Minerals (ARM) is an exploration company operating in Western Australia and New Zealand. The Company holds a large portfolio of highly prospective copper-lead-zinc, gold, uranium, nickel, PGE and iron ore projects. Aurora Minerals was listed on the Australian Stock Exchange on June 15, 2004. The Company’s core projects in Australia encompass Capricorn Project, situated in the Ashburton Region of central Western Australia; Glenburgh Project, located in the southern part of the Gascoyne Complex, and Camel Hills Project. In New Zealand the principal projects of Aurora are the Hazelbrook epithermal gold project located on the North Island in New Zealand and the Rockville Project on the NZ South Island.
During the fiscal 2007, Aurora obtained 51 exploration license applications spanning over a region of 9,402 kilometers via its subsidiary, the Piccadilly Resources Pty Ltd. In December 2006, it entered into an agreement with Glass Earth Limited to form collaboration on Aurora Minerals Macraes West Project, situated in the west of the Macraes Gold Mine in the Otago District of New Zealand. ARM completed the acquisition of Desert Energy Pty Ltd on December 12, 2006. It took over Piccadilly Resources Pty Ltd on February 14, 2007. Aurora spun –off its subsidiary, Desert Energy Limited in July 2007.
Aurora Minerals History
Aurora is dual listed on the Australian and New Zealand Stock Exchanges. It listed on the Australian Stock Exchange in June 2004 and on the New Zealand Stock Exchange in October 2004. In 2005, Aurora formed an alliance with Emerland Mining, who will grant up to NZ$10M to support the Hazelbrook Project.
