The Winning Companies of the 10th Week

Arrow Energy (AOE), one of the renowned coal seam gas producer and explorer of Australia with a current market capitalisation of over AUS$2 billion with resources in south and central Queensland and northern New South Wales was at the number winning company of the 10th week in ASX100 with a gain of 49.4 percent or $1.72 to its stock price closing the week at $5.20 (market capitalisation $3808.4 million). It was a mixture of coal, oil and gas companies in the list of winning companies for ASX100 and ASX200: Arrow Energy (AOE), Oil Search Limited (OSH), Caltex Australia (CTX), Energy World Corporation (EWC), Eastern Star Gas (ESG). The second place was taken by Oil Search Limited (OSH), a Papua New Guinea-based company that concentrates in the oil and gas exploration, development and production. The company gained 8 percent or 42 cents to its stock price and closed at $5.66. It was followed by Caltex Australia (CTX), a company which operates in convenience stores and also focuses on the refining, purchase, marketing and distribution of petroleum products.The company saw an increase of 7.5 percent or 80 cents to its stock price closing the week at $11.43.

In the ASX200 list, it was Arrow Energy (AOE), Energy World Corporation (EWC) and Eastern Star Gas (ESG) who made it for the first three positions of the week. Among them, coal seam gas producer and explorer Arrow Energy was on the top position. The second place was taken by Energy World Corporation (EWC), an exploration company that is engaged in the exploration, exploitation and production of resources like oil and gas. The company added 20 percent or 6 cents to its stock price and was closed for the week at 36 cents (market capitalisation $562.0 million). Next in the line was Eastern Star Gas (ESG), a conventional and coalbed methane gas explorer and producer which runs operations primarily in New South Wales and Victoria. The company added 18 percent or 13 cents to its share price closing the week at 85 cents (market capitalisation $735.4 million).
