Goodman Group (GMG) which was previously Macquarie Goodman Group that operates in the business of, ownership, development and management of business and industrial spaces was the best performer in ASX100 adding 48 percent or 12 cents at its stock price. The list of best performing stocks for the week 23 of year 2009 was a mixture of Mining, Exploration and Real Estate companies: Goodman Group (GMG), Boart Longyear (BLY), Mirvac Group (MGR), Minara Resources (MRE). Boart Longyear (BLY) a renowned drilling products and drilling service provider in mining, minerals, environment, infrastructure and energy industries was second in the list with an increase of 34.6 percent or 5 cents. Mirvac Group (MGR) which operates in real estate business in residential and non-residential projects added 15.6 percent or 16 cents this week and closing at $1.21. Another company that performed well in this list was Macquarie Office Trust (MOF) which added 26.3 percent or 5 cents.
Goodman Group was the best performer in the ASX200 list as well with a gain of 12 cents or 48 percent. Minara Resources (MRE) a well known exploration company which focuses on Nickel and Cobalt mining was the second best performing company in this list that added 39 percent or 25 cents to its share price closing the week at 89 cents. Boart Longyear came next in the line with an increase of 5 cents or 34.6 percent in its stock price. Some other companies of this list were: Macarthur Coal (MCC) with a gain of 28.8 percent, Mirvac Group which saw a rise of 15.6 percent or 16 cents and Macquarie Office Trust (MOF) adding 26.3 percent or 5 cents. Goodman Group, Boart Longyear and Mirvac Group were the three overall best performers for the week 23.
