News Corporation (NWS) has a Buy 1 stock recommendation and a share price target of US$25 (was US$24) from stock analyst UBS. They believe that News Corp is the best positioned global media company with growth rates in excess of its peers in 2007. UBS' price target is based on DCF, using 9.4 percent WACC and 3.5 percent long term growth rate. "Revenue grew 4.1% to $5.91B (UBSe $5.93B) led by Sky Italia, Cable & Fox Interactive (including MySpace). Operating income declined 6.4% to $851M (UBSe $815M) on a weaker DVD release slate & increased spend at FIM. Adj EPS of $0.18 (UBSe $0.20) compares to $0.18 in F1Q06. GAAP EPS of $0.27 includes gains related to asset sales."
